Speaking to Ainsley Earhardt of "Fox & Friends," Ivanka said she leaves "the politics to other people."

She made the comments after being asked about what she advises her father with regard to his tweeting habits.

"I try to stay out of politics," Ivanka said, adding that the president's "political instincts are phenomenal."

"He won," Earhardt added.

Ivanka serves as assistant to the president, a high-ranking White House job where her role is somewhat undefined. Last week, she met with Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida to discuss paid family leave and child care tax credits, an issue that Ivanka championed while helping her father campaign for president.

In her "Fox & Friends" interview, Ivanka said she doesn't "profess to be a political savant."

"So I leave the politics to other people and really lean into the issues that I care deeply about," she said.
