Tiffany Trump just signaled a return to her pre-election life - and it proves how different the Trump presidency is from Obama's
Trump spent Christmas with the rest of the Trump family in Mar-a-Lago.

Trump was primarily raised by her mother, President Trump's second wife, Marla Maples.

Growing up in California — unlike her half-siblings Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric — Trump reportedly didn't spend much time with her father until recently.

Prior to her father's 2015 announcement of his decision to run for president, Trump's life seemed to fall in line with classic "Rich Kids of Instagram" fare.

There are plenty of glamour shots and evidence of expensive vacations.

Trump also posted a few photos that hinted at her less-flashy life of a college student as she studied at the University of Pennsylvania.

But, as Donald Trump's presidential campaign heated up, Tiffany Trump's Instagram underwent a makeover.

Instead of posting pictures of the Snap Pack, Trump began flooding her feed with pictures with her half-siblings from the campaign trail.

This fall, Trump started law school at Georgetown — a pick that allowed her to stay close to her powerful family in Washington, DC.

But, after months of being publicly focused on politics and her politically connected family members, Trump seems to finally be cutting loose in the new year.

While the rest of the Trump family spent New Years Eve at Mar-a-Lago, Tiffany Trump rang in the new year at a party hosted by Playboy in Los Angeles.

But, the most dramatic return to form for Trump was a reunion with the Snap Pack in Las Vegas last weekend.

Trump showed up to celebrate the 25th birthday of her friend, fashion designer and the self-proclaimed "Kris Jenner of the group," Andrew Warren.

The weekend was heavily documented — unsurprising for the social-media-savvy group.

Attendees included stars from E!'s reality show "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills," including Magic Johnson's son EJ Johnson. Actress Abigail Breslin, best known for her role in "Little Miss Sunshine" and another Snap Pack regular, was also in attendance.

Another reality star, PC Peterson of Bravo's "NYC Prep" fame, held an impromptu platonic wedding with Quentin Esme Brown over the weekend. Trump served as the flower girl.

"P.S. We have never had sex," Brown wrote in her Instagram caption. "It's pure friendship."
The party is nothing out of the ordinary for a wealthy 24-year-old who has befriended social media celebrities. But, the decadence emphasizes the gap between the first family and the average American — as well as past presidents.

While the president recently slammed Michael Wolff's book about the Trump White House as "tabloid fiction," the Trump family has been making tabloid headlines for decades.

Trump's longtime celebrity is a far cry from former President Barack Obama's roots. The former first family's public prominence and scrutiny came after Obama's election.

Meanwhile, the Trump family has been mixing with socialites, millionaires, and celebrities for decades. Trump's bombastic and sometimes crude style made him a perfect fit for New York tabloid headlines. In many ways, this prominence helped Trump launch his presidential campaign.

Offensive and controversial comments, such as calling certain countries "shitholes," are the bread-and-butter of tabloid headlines, where scandals reign supreme. However, such dramas are typically less welcome in the White House.

Of course, Trump's White House is far from typical. The administration's dramatic statements (and tweets) and reported internal conflict often feel like a natural continuation of Trump's tabloid past.

For example, President Trump started off the year slamming his former ally, Steve Bannon, after his ex-chief strategist was quoted extensively in Wolff's book.
Trump said that Bannon had "lost his mind" and called him "Sloppy Steve" on Twitter.
Now, it looks like Tiffany Trump is carrying on the tabloid torch to the next generation as she buddies up with wealthy social media celebrities.

While Trump spent the last two years trying to promote a more polished image, it seems like the president's daughter is ready to renew ties with the Rich Kids of Instagram in 2018.
