The world leaders President Trump has met so far - and what happened

President Trump promised financial aid to Jordan when meeting with King Abdullah, acknowledging the country's efforts to aid Syrian refugees. The meeting came just after a chemical attack by Bashar al-Assad on his own civilians, which both leaders denounced.

The two are united against fighting ISIS, but divided on the issue of hosting refugees, whom King Abdullah has opened Jordan to, CNN reported.

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski reportedly referenced Trump's border wall proposal during their talks, telling Trump he preferred "bridges" over "walls," and favors the free movement of people across borders. However, he did not speak specifically about Trump's proposed US-Mexico border wall with the president.

The Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny used his St. Patrick's Day visit to lecture President Trump through a speech about immigration. The visit came while Trump's second travel ban was facing the courts, though Kenny did not directly mention the travel ban. Kenny reminded Trump that St. Patrick himself was an immigrant.

"There are millions out there who want to play their part for America — if you like, who want to make America great," Kenny said, referencing Trump's campaign slogan.

According to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Trump promised to support Iraq in its fight against ISIS. Trump reportedly said the US never should have taken troops out of the country, Al Jazeera reported.

According to Danish news sources, President Trump and Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen had a positive meeting with good chemistry. The two talked about strengthening NATO, saying Trump pushed Rasmussen to contribute more to the NATO fund, according to a joint readout from the White House.

President Trump and President Mauricio Macri reportedly discussed ways to deepen the close partnership between the United States and Argentina, according to a joint statement from the two leaders. They also raised concerns over the conflict in Venezuela, and pledged to fight narcotics trafficking.

Turnbull flew halfway across the world to see President Trump for just a half-hour meeting, after Trump pushed the meeting back three hours. Business Insider Australia reported the meeting was an attempt to repair their relationship, which was tense following their awkward phone call in the early days of Trump's presidency.

Trump met Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates before his first foreign trip, and said he'd "known him for a long time," according to The Washington Times. The two discussed the economy, counterterrorism operations, and the conflicts in Syria and Yemen, according to a White House readout.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos sought continued US aid for his country when he met President Trump in May. Trump commended Santos on his effort to end Colombia's 52-year conflict, which has left more than 220,000 dead. Trump said Santos' moves were a "great thing to watch," NBC News reported.

President Trump reportedly "love[d]" President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's shoes when they met. Trump promised to visit Cairo soon, and Al Sisi called Trump, through a translator "a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible."

Trump reportedly commended Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani during their on his and his soldiers' efforts to fight terrorism.

During his meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Trump reaffirmed promises for Israeli security. Rivlin showed Trump a tree that was planted in the Presidential Residence's garden in honor of his visit.

Trump and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam announced new trade deals worth around $8 billion after their meeting, Reuters reported.

Trump thanked Italian President Sergio Mattarella for his and his country's efforts to fight global terrorism and discussed the alliance between the US and Italy, according to the White House.

Trump met Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the G-20 summit in Germany. The two agreed to work together to uphold and strengthen their bilateral ties, according to the Prime Minister's Office.

Afterward, however, Trump aides misnamed Loong in a photo of the two on Instagram, referring to him as the Indonesian president instead. Internet commenters caught the mistake. The caption was changed.

Trump and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic reportedly discussed deepening US-Croatian ties, stability and security in the western Balkans and energy security and diversification, according to a White House readout of the meeting.

Trump and Macron's first meeting is also well-remembered for a handshake. This time, Macron had been warned about Trump's aggressive hand-shaking style.
