Top leading candidates in Puducherry Assembly election 2021 as per EC data from key constituencies

Early trends from the counting of votes from the Puducherry assembly election show a massive lead for the National Democratic Alliance led by the All India NR Congress’s N Rangaswamy, two-time Chief Minister of the union territory.

In total, Puducherry has 30 constituencies. Former Chief Minister Narayanasamy has opted out of the election.

N Rangaswamy-led AINRC is contesting 16 seats, its NDA partner BJP is contesting on 9 seats while AIADMK is fighting on 5 seats.

On the other end, Congress is contesting 14 seats, DMK on 13 and their allies Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and Communist Party of India on one each and there’s an independent candidate in Yanam who has Congress’ support.
