Haryana assembly elections 2019: Exit polls predict big win for BJP

Exit polls are stating a clear win for BJP for the Haryana assembly elections. The poll of polls by Times Now shows a win for BJP with a massive 63 seats majority. This would mean a grand second term for the state’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The state had voted for the Assembly elections on October 21, 2019 where 1169 candidates fought it out for 90 seats.
According to data from the Election Commission, there are over 1.83 crore voters in Haryana, of which 98.7 lakh are male, 85.1 lakh are female and 252 are transgenders.
From this, 40.67 lakh voters fall in the age group of 20-29, whereas 44.92 lakh fall in the 30-39 age group. According to an IANS report, nearly 22% voters in the 20-29 age group will play a major role in the Haryana Assembly polls on Monday, say social scientists.

There are also 3.82 lakh first time voters in the state.
