"Best things in life are free,"⁠— here's the full text of Arvind Kejriwal's speech after the swearing-in ceremony

• The re-elected leader of the Aam Aadmi Party was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi along with six other ministers in the presence of thousands of followers at the Ram Lila Maidan in Delhi.
• There are no changes to Kejriwal's cabinet. The same six ministers have been retained and popular party members (and election winners) like Atishi and Raghav Chadha have been left out of the cabinet contrary to expectations.
• "I had even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi (for today's ceeremony) but he was probably busy, he couldn't make it," Kejriwal said during his speech post the oath taking ceremony.
• The Delhi Chief Minister concluded his speech with a Hindi rendition of the American anthem in the fight for civil rights, "We Shall Overcome".

Here's the full text of Arvind Kejriwal's speech after he took oath as Delhi's Chief Minister.

I have been sworn-in for a third time. It is not just my victory, it is the victory of each woman, each child, each mother, and each and every citizen of Delhi.

In the last five years, we have only tried to bring a little relief to the lives for the people of Delhi. We have tried to bring in as much development as I can, and that will be our effort in the next five years too.

Call your relatives in the villages and tell them that "our son Kejriwal has become the Chief Minister there is nothing to worry about." Some people Delhi in voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party, some voted for Congress, some voted for other parties but today as I am sworn in, I am the Chief Minister for all of them, not just the ones who voted for Aam Aadmi Party.

I have refused to help any voter of Delhi because of his or her political affiliations. We put water pipelines, and got work done, even in areas which are known to vote for BJP. No matter which party you suppoer, no matter what your faith is, no matter what your caste is, turn up with your requests without hesitation, your work will be done.

There is still a lot of work to be done in Delhi. I want to work together with everyone.

Election is over. A lot of people said a lot of things about each other. A lot of rivals said some mean things about us but today we have forgiven them. I request my rivals too, let us work together to make Delhi a better place.

I also want to work with the Central Government to take Delhi a long way forward. I had even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi but he was probably busy, he couldn't make it.

My dear citizens of Delhi, you have given birth to a new kind of politics in the country- one that focuses on real issues like education, health, basic amenities, good roads. It is the politics of the 21-st century.

I would like to narrate a few lines to explain this new politics.

"When every child of Mother India is blessed with good education, on then the tricolour will flutter with pride in the open skies.
When every child of Mother India is blessed with good healthcare, on then the tricolour will flutter with pride in the open skies.
When every young man loses the tag of 'unemployed, only then the tricolour will flutter with pride in the open skies. When every person rises above his caste and religion to feel like an Indian, only then the tricolour will flutter with pride in the open skies."

There is now news flowing in from other states that they are following our model in Delhi to make water and electricity free. You have made magic.

Anyone in India who doubts the possibility of free water, or subsidised electricity, or good schools, people point towards Delhi as an example.

Delhi is not run by Kejriwal or his ministers, Delhi is run by the teachers, doctors, hawkers, factory owners, autowallahs et all. (Names a few people from the he list of Delhi ke nirmata (the makers of Delhi model)

Some people complain that Kejriwal is making things free. Some of the world's most amazing things, God has given us for free. When a father goes hungry to provide for his child, that penance is free. The love of the Delhi people that has made me the Chief Minister is also free.

It will be shameful for me to charge a poor man for basic healthcare or for a child's education.

There will be a time soon, the story of India's greatness will resonate across the world from London to Australia, from America to Africa.
