Educating the public is one of the crucial tasks in front of the EC to ensure that the elections are conducted in an effective way and that the voter turnout is optimum. The upcoming Delhi elections will also see some added measures implemented along these lines.

The EC will distribute ‘Voter Guide’ brochures, BLOs will get it to your doorstep

According to the press note issued on 6 January 2020, the Election Commission has decided to hand out a Voter Guide Brochure to every household ahead of the Delhi Assembly Election, which is just around the corner on 9 February 2020.

Printed both in English and in the vernacular language — Hindi in this case — the Voter Guide brochure will be distributed to all the homes within the Delhi Vidhan Sabha jurisdiction along with the Photo Voter Slips. The responsibility of distributing the Photo Voter Slips and Voter Guide Brochures will rest with the booth level officers (BLOs).
