Delhi Election 2020: Here’s how to search for your polling station

Delhi Assembly Election is around the corner. The assembly polls are to be held in a single phase across 70 constituencies across the capital. As many as 1.46 crore eligible voters are expected to vote on February 8. About 90,000 officials will be deployed to conduct the elections. The votes will be counted on February 11, 2020.

The three main parties contesting elections constitute the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). The current CM Arvind Kejriwal is seeking re-election with promises of free access to water and electricity. Whereas, PM Modi who campaigned for Delhi Election promised to build a pucca house for the poor by 2025.

This is the first time that the national capital is going to polls after the Lok Sabha elections

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced that they will begin their services at 4.00 am to help voters reach their destinations on time.

Here’s how you can search your polling station:

  1. Visit the official website of National Voters’ Services Portal NSVP at nvsp.in.
  2. Select the option “Search in Electoral Roll."
  3. Once selected, a new web page will open. There are two ways through which you can search: Search by Details or Search by EPIC No.

  1. To search by details, fill in the form with your name, father’s name, age, date of birth and gender, state, district etc.
  2. Once filled click on Search, a list of applicable polling booths will be there.
SEARCH BY EPIC NO.

  1. To search by EPIC no, fill in the form with EPIC No, state and the captcha code written there.
  2. Once filled, click on Search and a list of applicable polling booths will appear.
An eligible voter can also use electoralsearch.in or Voter Helpline App by the Election Commission to search their polling station.

Voters can also call 1950, a voter helpline to seek help. However, you should add the STD code of your city before the number. Moreover, to ask for help related to polling station location you can send an SMS <ECIPS> space <EPIC NO> 1950.
