  • As per various exit polls, AAP could win 48-68 of the total 70 seats while BJP is expected to bag anywhere between 11-19 seats.

  • None of the exit polls expect Congress to win more than two seats though C-Voter survey says that it could win anywhere between 0-4 seats.

  • To form the government, a party should win at least 36 seats which AAP is in a comfortable position, as per exit polls.
Bharatiya Janata Party might be making a dent in Aam Aadmi Party’s expected dream run during the Delhi assembly election. AAP however might retain power in Delhi.

As per various exit polls, AAP will win 48-61 of the total 70 seats. BJP however is expected to bag around 11-17 seats. None of the polls expect Congress to win more than two seats though C-voter believes that the party could win anywhere between 0-4 seats.

Only India Today and Axis poll expects BJP to win only two seats, but that is at the lower end of its prediction. However, it gave a wide range of seats between 2-11. As per most others, BJP would be performing much better than it did in the last election.

Last election, AAP won 67 seats, leaving only three to BJP but most poll pundits believe that it might not be possible this time. To form the government, a party should win at least 36 seats which means as per exit polls, AAP is in a comfortable position.

As per, Neta-NewsX Exit Poll, Aam Aadmi Party is set to return with a majority in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. The exit poll indicates that AAP is expected to win between 53-57 seats. “The BJP and Congress on the other hand could win around 11-17 and 0-2 seats respectively. The results are based on inputs from over 34000 people across all constituencies in Delhi,” said a press release.

The Delhi elections are important for BJP to gauge its stronghold on the capital of the country. In spite of the resounding victory they saw in Lok Sabha elections where all the seven MP seats landed in their kitty, assembly elections are a different turf.

Aam Aadmi Party made a resounding campaign statement – which bordered on conceit claiming that Delhi voters need not vote for them if they think they did not do a good job. Their report card contains improving school infrastructure by revamping 20,000 classrooms, introducing mohalla clinics and increase CCTV coverage to ensure security.

However, AAP seemed to have had no pull with Delhi citizens when it came to Lok Sabha elections. In spite of the 100% results, BJP is on the edge when it comes to the union territory’s assembly elections. For one, a lot has changed since its Lok Sabha election win – with a slowing economy and rising food inflation.

Delhi in particular has been at the centre of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The many troubles with students and citizens like Delhi police action of Jamia Milia students; police registering cases against JNU students after a mob attack had injured many – has angered its many citizens against the central government.
