Delhi Election: Tri Nagar assembly constituency candidate Names

AAP candidate Jitender Singh Tomar will fight again from the Tri Nagar assembly seat. AAP has released the list of candidates on January 14, 2020 for the upcoming assembly election in delhi on february 8, 2020. The result of the same will be announced on February 11,2020.
The last assembly elections in Tri Nagar was conducted in 2015 and the electors favored AAP’s Jitender Singh Tomar to represent their constituency in the Delhi Assembly by giving him 63012 votes. The runner up candidate in the said elections was Nand Kishore Garg of BJP who scored 40701 votes. During 2013 general elections for the Delhi assembly seat of Tri Nagar, Nand Kishore Garg of BJP won this seat with 36970 votes by pushing back Jitender Singh Tomar of AAP who secured 34161 votes.
The state legislative assembly constituency of Tri Nagar comes within the precincts of Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat of Delhi. The present five year term of the Vidhan Sabha in Delhi comes to an end on 22 February 2020. Hence along with the other 69 assembly seats, Tri Nagar will also go for assembly election polls in February 2020. The total number of voters in Tri Nagar is 158846 and this count includes 87290 men, 71553 women and 3 third gender electors.
From 2003 to 2013, INC held this assembly seat for two consecutive terms. Anil Bharadwaj was the MLA from 2003 elections and Hari Shankar Gupta was the MLA from 2008 elections. From 1993 to 2003, BJP held this seat for two consecutive terms sending Nand Kishore Garg as the MLA both the times from this assembly seat. During both these elections, INC candidates were the runner ups. We see INC, BJP and AAP taking turns to win from this seat during Vidhan Sabha elections.
