The Mundka Vidhan Sabha constituency is located within the North West Delhi Parliamentary seat of Delhi. As the tenure of the present Delhi assembly will end on 22 February 2020, the 70 constituencies of Delhi Vidhan Sabha including Mundka will go for general election polls in 2020 February. This assembly seat comprises 261194 voters. The composition of this number is 14294 males, 118872 females and 28 third gender voters.

In the 2015 general elections for the Mundka assembly seat, Sukhvir Singh of AAP got 94206 votes. He won over the BJP candidate Azad Singh who scored 53380 votes. Before Sukhvir Singh became the MLA of this assembly seat, IND held this seat for a term and BJP held during the earlier term. The candidates who represented this seat in the Delhi assembly were Azad Singh who remained the MLA from 2013 to 2015. From 2008 to 2013, the BJP candidate Manoj was the MLA of Mundka.

In the 2013 elections for the Delhi assembly, Rambir Shokeen of IND got 52564 votes and overtook the BJP candidate Azad Singh who got 45430 votes. In the 2008 general elections for the assembly of Delhi, BJP’s Manoj Kumar won INC’s Prem Chander Kaushik. The votes they scored were 47355 and 32458 respectively. Azad Singh of BJP was the runner up in 2013 and also 2015 assembly elections. AAP candidate Sukhvir Singh’s vote score of 94206 is the highest score got by any contesting candidate from this assembly seat.
