Ballimaran delhi assembly election candidate names of all parties

AAP candidate Imran Hussain will fight again from the Ballimaran assembly seat. Haroon Yusuf from congress and Lata Sodi from BJP will fight on Ballimaran seat.

For the last time, Ballimaran faced the assembly elections along with other constituencies of Delhi assembly in 2015. In the said elections, AAP candidate Imran Hussain won this seat securing 57,118 votes. He is thus the sitting MLA of this seat. The runner up in this election was Shyam Lal Morawal of BJP who got 23,241 votes. The vote margin between them was 33,877.

Ballimaran state assembly constituency of Delhi occurs within the jurisdiction of East Delhi parliamentary seat. In total, Delhi assembly has 70 constituencies and all of them go for polls in February 2020 since the present term of the Vidhan Sabha ends on 22 February 2020. The total number of voters in the Ballimaran constituency is 1,40,772. This figure is made of 78,774 males, 61,991 females, and 7 third gender electors.

Haroon Hussain of INC held this assembly seat for a very long period. Right from 1993 to 2015, he remained the MLA of this assembly constituency. He was elected for the Delhi assembly five times from this seat in consecutive elections. The number of votes he bagged in 1993 elections was 20,217. In the 1998 assembly polls, he got 38,105 votes. In the year 2003, he was elected with a total votes of 31,357. He won with 34,660 votes in 2008. The votes Haroon Hussain scored in 2013 was 32,105. Right from 1983 elections, BJP was the runner up in this assembly seat in all the assembly elections conducted excepting in 2003 elections when IND candidate came in the second place.
