Bhiwandi Assembly Election 2019 candidate list and results

Bhiwandi is a Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra that comprises of six Vidhan Sabha seats namely Bhiwandi Rural, Shahapur, Bhiwandi West, Bhiwandi East, Kalyan West, and Murbad. Among them, the first two namely Bhiwandi Rural and Shahapur are reserved for ST candidates and the rest are for general candidates.

In the upcoming 2019 Vidhan Sabha elections, INC is nominating Shoeb Ashfaque (Guddu) from the Bhiwandi West seat. The INC candidate Kalyan West constituency this time is Kanchan Yogesh Kulkarni. BJP is fielding Kisan Kathore from the Murbad seat. BJP has left the Shahapur seat to Shiv Sena who will be fielding Pandurang Barola from there.

The election date is October 21, 2019 and the counting date is October 24, 2019.

The sitting MP of Bhiwandi Lok Sabha constituency is Kapil Moreshwar Patil. In the 2019 general elections for the parliament, he secured 109,450 votes more than the INC candidate Patil Vishwanath Ramchandra.

In the 2014 assembly elections, Shantaram Tukaram More of the SHS secured 9160 votes more than the BJP candidate Patil Shantaram Dundaram and became the MLA of the Bhiwandi Rural (ST) seat. From the Shahapur (ST) seat, the winning candidate was NCP’s Barora Pandurang Mahadu who had a leading margin of 5544 votes more than the SHS candidate Daulat Bhika Daroda. From the Bhiwandi West assembly constituency, Choughule Mahesh Prabhakar of the BJP won over Khan Shoeb Ashfaq of INC by bagging 3326 more votes. From the Bhiwandi East seat, the winner was Rupesh Laxman Mhatre of the SHS who had secured 3393 votes more than Santosh Manjayya Shetty of the BJP. The winner from the Kalyan West seat was Narendra Baburao Pawar of the BJP, who had won with 2219 more seats than the runner up Vijay (Bandya) Jagannath Salvi representing the SHS. Murbad voters had elected Kisan Shankar Kathore of the BJP by giving him 26230 more votes than the NCP candidate Gotiram Padu Pawar.
