Aurangabad assembly election 2019 candidate list and results for Vidhan Sabha elections 2019

The list of six Vidhan Sabha seats contained in the Lok Sabha constituency of Aurangabad includes Kannad, Aurangabad Central, Aurangabad West, Aurangabad East, Gangapur, and Vaijapur. Among them, Aurangabad West is earmarked for SC candidates. The others are general seats.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Chandrakant Bhaurao Khaire of the SHS had secured a winning margin of 162,000 votes than the runner-up candidate of INC Patil Nitin Suresh.

During the upcoming assembly elections 2019, Sanjay Shirsat of the Shiv Sena party will take on Ramesh Gaikwad of the INC from the Aurangabad West seat. BJP is fielding Atul Sawe from the Aurangabad East constituency. From the Gangapur seat, the BJP is now fielding Prashant Bam. Shiv Sena is fielding Ramesh Bornavay from the Vaijapur assembly seat.

As per the election commission’s announcement, all the constituencies of Maharashtra will face the polling in single phase on October 21, 2019. The votes will be counted and the results will be out on October 24, 2019.

In 2014 general elections for the assembly, Kannad seat saw Jadhav Harshvardhan Raibhan winning over the NCP candidate Uday Singh Sardar Singh Rajput with a margin of 1561 votes. From the Gangapur constituency, Bamb Prashant Bansilal of the BJP party had won the runner up Ambadas Eknath Danve of SHS by securing 17278 votes more. In the Vaijapur constituency, NCP’s Bhausaheb Patil Chikatgaonkar had secured a margin of 4709 votes more than the SHS candidate R. M. Wani. The winning candidate from the Aurangabad Central seat was Sayed Imtiaz Jalil of the AIMIM who secured 19982 votes more than Pradeep Jaiswal of SHS. Sanjay Shirsat of the SHS party had won from the Aurangabad West (SC) constituency securing 6927 votes more than Madhukar Damodhar Sawant of the BJP. The winner from the Aurangabad East seat was Atul Moreshwar Save of the BJP who had bagged 4260 votes more than Dr. Abdul Gaffar Quadri of the AIMIM.
