  • Khazar Momeni was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Monday, SFPD said.
  • Her brother is Nima Momeni, the tech consultant charged in murdering Cash App creator Bob Lee.

The sister of Nima Momeni, the tech consultant charged in the murder of Cash App creator Bob Lee, was arrested on Monday and charged with driving under the influence, the San Francisco Police Department confirmed in a statement to Insider.

Khazar Momeni was arrested after police responded to a report of a vehicle collision at Geary St and Larkin St shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday. Khazar Momeni, also known as Khazar Elyassnia, did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent to her husband.

After officers investigated the scene, 38-year-old Momeni was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, two counts of hit-and-run, failure to drive within the lane, and failure to provide insurance at the scene of an accident, the statement said. She was booked into the San Francisco County Jail.

Momeni's brother, Nima Momeni, was charged with murder in April in the fatal stabbing of Bob Lee. The Cash App creator was killed in downtown San Francisco on April 4. According to court records, Nima Momeni had confronted Lee about his sister prior to the stabbing. Friends of Lee later told The Wall Street Journal that he was having an affair with Khazar Momeni.

Nima Momeni has pleaded not guilty and is expected back in court on November 30 to potentially set a date for his trial, The San Francisco Standard reported.
