Florida's cities are still irresistible to movers across the US.

Several Florida metro areas like Wildwood-The Villages are seeing big net domestic migration rates. Plus, Wildwood-The Villages led the way for overall population growth from July 1, 2022, to the following July for metros, with a 4.7% rise in its population from 144,767.

Business Insider looked at the US metros with the most positive net domestic migration, or the metros where more people in the US were moving there than people moving out for a different area in the US. The latest net domestic migration values from the Census Bureau were for the period of July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.

Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas, had the highest positive net domestic migration among metros, with a value of 60,457. A lot of people were also heading to Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands in Texas and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater in Florida. They had net domestic migration values of 39,644 and 35,830 respectively.

But when accounting for metro population sizes as of July 1, 2022, net domestic migration rates suggest that Wildwood-The Villages is thriving with movers. This Florida metro had a net domestic migration value of 8,684 but a rate per 1,000 of around 60, the highest among metros. Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, came next, with a rate per 1,000 people of around 39. That South Carolina metro area saw net domestic migration of 15,061.
