'Pokemon GO' is down for some people

It's been a long day. You just want to relax and catch some "Pokémon." We get it.

But when you load up the new "Pokémon GO" mobile game, you're hit with this unfortunate brick wall:

Whack! Just the whackest. That's the experience that we're seeing all over the place on social media, as well as on our own phones.

And of course:

We'd normally take umbrage with the Kardashianism of "breaking the internet," but in this case, the overwhelming excitement for "Pokémon GO" has led to the actual brokenness of said internet (as far as the internet enables the catching of Pokémon). 

We've asked the game's developer for a statement on when it'll stabilize, but the company does not have a statement to offer at this time. Given that the game launched in the US late Wednesday evening, and this is the first full day of availability (and, at the time of this writing, school and work is just getting out for many Americans), we're guessing/hoping that things will run a bit more smoothly in a few hours.
