PM Modi meets King of Jordan Abdullah in New York, new push to India's 'Look West' policy

As part of his efforts to give a new push to India’s ‘Look West’ policy particularly in the Middle-East region, King Abdullah of Jordan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here today on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

India has a deep strategic interest in the Middle-East region as lakhs of Indian expatriates work there.

"Courting great ties," wrote Vikas Swarup, spokesman of Ministry of External Affairs on twitter.
