Earlier this week Playboy published vintage photos of an excavation project along with a blueprint showing a series of tunnels connecting the infamous residence with various celebrity homes in the surrounding area.
According to the article, when asked about the photos of the construction site the new Playboy Mansion general manager reportedly said, "that's probably when they built the tunnels in the 70s."
A closer look at the blueprint shows that there were plans to dig tunnels to the the homes of "Mr J. Nicholson," "Mr W. Beatty," "Mr K. Douglas," and "Mr J. Caan."

According to the article, the partial tunnels were closed up in 1989 when Hugh Hefner married then-Playmate Kimberley Conrad.
Playboy reached out to the publicity representatives for Nicholson, Caan, Douglas, and Beatty, and has yet to receive a comment.
