Plane Crashes Directly Into Homes In Connecticut

A small plane has crashed into two East Haven, Conn. houses, according to local news reports.

East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo told NBC Connecticut that one of the houses was vacant at the time. A reporter on the scene, Jennifer Swift of the New Haven Register, says the pilot is missing and the second house was occupied at the time, although firefighters haven't found any bodies.

There's no word yet on injuries. Firefighters arrived on scene to put out a blaze that started after the crash.

One witness told WTNH News that the plane was "sitting in a lady's bedroom."
