PHEW! The App For Summoning A Private Jet To Pick You Up Is Finally Here

BlackJet just launched its iPhone app for "hailing" private jets.

The members-only service makes it possible to quickly book a seat on a private jet.

BlackJet is still invite-only, but you can use the limited invite code BLACKJETIPHONE5000 to access the site and request a membership for $2,500.

Members are guaranteed things like seat availability, and non-stop flights. We did a test flight search from San Francisco to New York just to see how much it would cost for a one-way trip.

The total damage: $3,551.40.

The service currently supports trips to and from San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, South Florida, and Las Vegas. It will soon expand its offerings to provide service between Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Seattle, and Washington D.C.

To date, BlackJet has raised an undisclosed amount from a slew of top-notch investors and firms including Marc Benioff, First Round Capital, Shervin Pishevar, Ashton Kutcher, SV Angel, Peter Pham, and Mike Jones.
