According to the circular by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare dated September 20, the pensioners from now onwards can submit their life certificates using the Doorstep Banking Alliance service or the Doorstep Service of the postal department for submission of the Digital Life Certificate.

2. Doorstep service for life certificate submission via postman
The Department of Posts along with the Ministry of Electronics rolled out the Doorstep Service for submission of Digital Life Certificates through the postman. To avail this facility, pensioners can contact his/her nearest post office or place a request for a doorstep visit through the ‘PostInfo’ app or through the website.
The digital life certificate is paperless and the certificate is issued on an instant basis.
