Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned Indian Army’s surgical attacks on terror launchpads in Pakistan. Sharif said India should not interpret Pakistan as a weak nation

"We condemn this attack, our desire for peace should not be interpreted as our weakness," said Sharif.

Indian Army said it conducted "surgical strikes" on suspected militants in Pakistan who were allegedly preparing to infiltrate into the part of Kashmir India controls.

The army's director general of military operations Lt General Ranbir Singh said strikes were launched based on "very specific and credible information that some terrorist units had positioned themselves to infiltrate".

However, the Pakistani media said India was living in an illusiona and denied the surgical attacks in the nuclear-armed neighbour.

 "The notion of surgical strike linked to alleged terrorists' bases is an illusion being deliberately generated by India to create false effects," the military said in a statement.

The strikes were carried out by India after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the cabinet committee on security. He earlier had pledged to give a befitting reply of Uri attacks. 18 soldiers were killed in the URI attack.

India moved to isolate Pakistan globally at the United Nations and other international bodies like SAARC. Pakistan has violated ceasefire repeatedly at the LOC
