Only 31% Of Indians Are Satisfied With Their Current Job

An employee productivity index report by Nimbuzz is out and it states some startling facts about the Indian worker. Using their popular Nimbuzz messaging platform, the company quizzed over 24,000 people who cater to private as well as public sector in India. The facts found out by them are quite interesting.

The report states:
· Only 31% employees are satisfied with their present job and working environment is the primary factor for their job satisfaction.
· Only 32% employees are courageous enough to argue with their bosses. And 41% of employees reveal that agreeing with their bosses assures them with a sense of job security.
· 54% employees use traffic as the primary reason for coming late to the office. However, 76% of them balance it out by putting an average of 8 or more work hours every day.
· 82% of the respondents smoke 5 or more cigarettes every day. But it’s noteworthy that 24% of those who smoke are ready to give up the habit if that increases their productivity at work. Stress is the reason behind this practice.

These are some interesting facts which the HR department and employers can use to their benefit. Also the alarming rate of smoking due to stress is something the organisations across the board should not overlook and needs to be addressed.
