The company would also start manufacturing in India by this year end and Onyx would be the first device to be assembled.
"OnePlus X is a design-centric device, chic and powerful enough to fit any lifestyle. The Onyx will help us expand our base further in the country," OnePlus General Manager India Vikas Agarwal told PTI.
The company had launched its first device last year and is aiming for sales of one million devices by the end of December 2015 in India.
The new factory will have a cumulative peak capacity of producing up to five lakh units per month and will generate direct employment of over 1,000 full time workers.
