One of the world's rarest species of whale has been caught on camera for the first time ever

Researchers have finally captured footage of the Omura's whale, one of the rarest creatures on Earth, in the wild.

The whale was discovered in the Indian Ocean and, until now, had only been seen after one had washed up on a remote beach in Australia.
