One Of Katy Perry's dancing sharks reveals his identity during a Reddit AMA

Katy Perry owned the Super Bowl with an elaborate halftime show complete with a giant mechanical animal and fireworks; however, it was two of Perry's backup dancers dressed in shark costumes who stole the spotlight.

Twitter and Reddit soon after went on a mission to find out the identity of the dancing sharks, and successfully succeeded in finding one of them.

While everyone wants to know the identity of the much-talked about left shark, we now know the shark on the right is one of Perry's longtime backup dancers, Scott Myrick. Myrick took to Twitter and Instagram soon after the halftime show was over to tell friends and fans that he was indeed the shark busting out the moves seen on stage. Myrick briefly headed to Reddit to answer a few questions about dancing with Perry. He said this is his fifth year working with Perry.

Here's his quick Q&A via Reddit:

1. Is this the craziest costume you've ever danced in?
"It is up there.. I danced as a gingerbread man in her first tour the California dreams tour. And also her big purple cat, kitty purry. This is just another day in KP land." 

2. How was the visibility in the shark costume?
"Terrible. I ran into a palm tree but the camera missed it ;)"

3. Seahawks or Patriots?
"Patriots... Tom Brady. Duh"

4. How does one become a dancing shark in a super bowl halftime show?
"Well this is my 5th year working for Katy and I was actually a horse chest piece in dark horse and had to change into the shark costume in 1:30 seconds. It was nuts! But I guess it's just being at the right place at the right time hahah"

Myrick's photos with Perry date back to Jan. 2012 on Instagram. He performed with the singer on her California Dreams Tour.  The two are pretty close. Perry came out for Myrick's birthday.  And Myrick celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Perry. Myrick then worked with Taylor Swift dancing for the singer during her "Red" tour. He was reportedly one of three of Perry's dancers who went to work for Swift.  But Myrick recently returned to work with Perry on her Prismatic world tour.  Here he is as one of two Pharaohs.
