Olympian medallist Sakshi Malik is engaged and this is her wrestler fiancé Satyawart Kadian

Rio Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik got engaged to her wrestler boyfriend Satyawart Kadian at her Rohtak house on Sunday.

“It was a private function. Only the families of the to-be bride and groom attended the event and it went very well,” Satyawart’s father Arjuna Awardee Satyavan Pehelwan said, while talking to the media.

When Sakshi had come back home to a rousing welcome after winning her Olympic bronze, she had openly announced her plans of getting married and had hailed Satyawart for supporting her career.

The two have known each other for a few years and were said to have fallen in love during wrestling tournaments. According to Satyawart, both of them liked each other and wanted to get married.

Twenty-two years old Satyawart, born in 1993, shot to fame after he bagged a bronze medal in the Singapore Youth Olympics in 2010. He won a bronze medal in the 2013 World Youth Wrestling Championship held in Bulgaria.

He represented India in the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, in which he won a silver medal. He also won a bronze in Asian Wrestling Championship the same year.

However, the wedding date hasn’t been fixed yet.
