The oath ceremony also called as the swearing in ceremony is the formal process of assuming office in the Indian parliament. The four important oath taking ceremonies in India pertain to the swearing in by the President of India, Vice-President of India, Union Council of Ministers of India including the Prime Minister, and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court or High Court of India.
The oath taking ceremony happens when the new government takes charge of the Lok Sabha positions following the elections. I, (name), do swear in the name of God (or, solemnly affirm) that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as a Minister for the Union except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as such Minister.
