Now, Vodafone India rolls out free national roaming from Oct 30

It seems Reliance Jio is giving a tough time to top incumbent telecom operators and the latest telco to offer freebie to Vodafone India.

Vodafone India will start offering free incoming calls while roaming nationally for its customers from Diwali onwards.

"At Vodafone, the customer is at the heart of all that we do and it is an ongoing endeavour to come up with unmatched value and convenience for our customers. Even though outgoing charges while roaming had become comparable to home charges, consumer research has shown that incoming charges while roaming have been a hindrance to worry free usage,” said Sandeep Kataria, Director - Commercial, Vodafone India.

Last month, Vodafone India rolled out 'All in One' roaming pack for its pre-paid customers, which consisted of local talk time, STD, incoming and outgoing roaming minutes in a single recharge for pre-paid customers in Delhi and NCR circle.
