Now sample the ‘Made in India’ Mercedes

It’s proven! Prime Minister’s initiative of ‘Make in India’ has crossed borders and reached Germany as well. With a heavy localisation of 60%, German luxury car maker Mercedes Benz has announced to roll out C 220 CDI from Chakan factory near Pune.
This new C-class 4-cylinder diesel engine is the most fuel0efficient in the segment. As claimed by the company, fuel efficiency will be around 19.27 km per litre, which is quite high. The engine is empowered with ECO start/stop function, which helps in saving fuel and reducing emissions.
Priced in the range of Rs 37.90 lakh to Rs 39.90 lakh (ex showroom Delhi), C 220 CDI will cost at least Rs 2 lakh lesser than the imported version.
The new C 220 CDI was rolled-out of the assembly line by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Piyush Arora, Executive Director, Operations, Mercedes-Benz India.
