During a meeting of education department to discuss changes in school syllabus, the government showed keenness to include lessons on the Gujarat-based industrialist, Jnanpith award-winning Gujarati writers Umashankar Joshi and Pannalal Patel.

While talking to Economic Times, Gujarat education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said, “No concrete decision in this regard has been taken. I shall not be able to say anything more on this.”

However, a source told the financial daily that the roadmap for introducing the chapters was not prepared yet and it would take some time before the final call.

It is noteworthy that the Ambanis have always been close to Gujarat government and Mukesh and Anil Ambani share a warm relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
