India’s prime minister Narendra Modi might be smiling from ear to ear. His message of Swachh Bharat or Clean India has reached the core of a resident of a remote village in Maharashtra.A bride, Chaitali Galakhe of Andura village in Balapur tehsil of Akola district was getting married on the 15th of this month. And guess what she demanded as a wedding gift? Well, it’s a toilet.
The guests at her wedding were taken by surprise to find a toilet amongst the other gifts that Chaitali received from her relatives and in laws side. The toilet with a water closet, a wash basin and mirror was the cynosure of all eyes at the event.
Chaitali, who got married to Devendra Makode from a village in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district came to know that there is no toilet at her in laws place.

Her father listened to her demand and gifted it to her. Not only did she stand as a unique villager much different from many Indians, she has also bagged an award of Rs 10 lakh from NGO, Sulabh International for having demanded such an unusual gift, which .
Earlier, Sulabh International has awarded 6 such women who have raised their voice for toilet in different parts of India.
