Nokia and Microsoft made huge waves when the latter offered to purchase the Finnish mobile manufacturing giant. Microsoft is said to be getting the slow running devices and services business from Nokia at an estimated price of US $ 7.5 billion.
Nokia today have announced that they will make the exchange in the coming month of April, 2014. The deal could not go through till now because some of the approvals were pending from Nokia’s Asian Offices. This slowed down the process, however after the fiscal closing March, 2014, the approvals will prevail and the contract will go through.
Nokia said “Nokia and Microsoft continue to be confident that the transaction will close, resulting in the sale of substantially all of Nokia's Devices & Services business to Microsoft, and both companies are working diligently to close the transaction as expeditiously as possible.”
