We were wondering when Nokia will bring their latest device to India. After the Lumia 1020 this is their brand new innovation that has arrived to our side of the planet. The response so far from the consumer for the Lumia series has been lukewarm, though P Balaji, MD, Nokia India said they have sold over 22 million devices worldwide in the last 3 quarters, which says otherwise. To pocket the new device, Lumia 1520, users would need to shell out Rs 46,999, which one would feel is lot to pay for a Windows phone. However, it is not just any other ‘Windows Phone’; it has quite a few new features that did impress us. For starters, the 6-inch display combined with a super quick 2.2GHz Snapdragon Quad-core processor is brilliant. The screen colours are exquisite and everything starts and closes in a jiffy. There is hardly any lag while switching screens or scrolling. The 20 MP pureview camera can take some great shots.
Tech specs include 2GB RAM, a powerful 3,400 mAh battery and 3G capabilities. However, what could have been better is the internal memory, which right now is at just 32 GB. Double of that would have been outstanding.
Nokia has also brought a back cover for the Lumia 1520 that will retail at Rs 2,999.
