Nintendo quietly deleted a hidden game in the Nintendo Switch games console that seemed to be a tribute to its former CEO, Satoru Iwata, who died in 2015, Polygon reports.

People digging through the Nintendo Switch's code in September found that hidden within the console's software was a game called "Golf," which Nintendo first released in 1984.

"Golf" was hidden inside the Switch console, and could only be played when two conditions were met: The console's date was set to July 11, the date Iwata died in 2015, and the controllers were held facing outwards, as Iwata often held them during presentations.

However, Polygon reports that the 4.0.0 version of the Nintendo Switch software removed "Golf" from the system, meaning that the tribute has been deleted and is no longer playable. It could, however, be added back into the console at a later date.
