Nine CRPF jawans killed by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh

At least nine security personnel from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed and three others injured when Maoist extremists attacked them in Bhejja area of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh. According to IG Sundar Raj, the troops were on the road opening exercise when Maoists open fired on them without any hint.The number of causality may further rise as the area is quite remote. The victims were the part of battalion 219 of the CRPF.
Yesterday the Sarpanch of Sukma district was killed by the Maoists doubting his allegiance with the police.
