Nicole Kidman is in talks to join "Fair and Balanced," an upcoming biopic about the late Fox News chief Roger Ailes. According to Variety, Kidman would play former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson.
Kidman would be joining Charlize Theron, who is attached to star in the movie as another former Fox News host, Megyn Kelly, who now works for NBC.
Ailes was the head of Fox News from its launch in 1996 until he was ousted from the company in 2016 over sexual harassment allegations. Carlson filed a harassment lawsuit against Ailes that prompted more revelations, including from Kelly, who told investigators that Ailes made unwanted advances on her. Ailes died last May.
Little else is known about the movie outside of Theron and Kidman's casting, but Jay Roach, who directed "Trumbo" and the "All the Way" TV movie, is directing. It does not have a release date yet.
