This New Year has definitely brought some good luck in the life of Virat Kohli. First, the Delhi-born young cricketer was named the captain of Indian Test Cricket team for the ongoing Australia series. Soon after, he became the first cricketer ever to cross 5 million followers on social networking site Twitter.

Now, adding to the list, he made a world record in Test Cricket after he scored a ton in Sydney yesterday. With this he got the coveted title of being the first cricketer in Test format to score 3 centuries in his first 3 innings. It is to be noted that in Adelaide test in the ongoing series, the Indian captain had made a double century.

Yesterday, he scored his 10th hundred in his 33rd Test match, and became the second Indian cricketer to score 4 tons in a Test match series. Earlier, the legend Sunil Gavaskar was the only Indian to hold this record; his magic worked twice, and both times against the West Indies.
