It seems LG has listened to consumers’ and reviewers’ advice to bring its next flagship device to India early. The company has brought today its top-of-the-line device, LG G2, at a remarkable price point. While most of its competitors are looking at the pricing of Rs 50,000 or above, LG has decided to offer the Qualcomm 800 chipset-driven G2 at Rs 41,500 for the 16 GB variant while the 32 GB one is priced at Rs 44,500.The smartphone has a 5.7 inch IPS touch display and a 13 MP camera attached to its back. The phone can stay awake for more than a day and a half, according to the company’s spokesperson Amit Gujral, thanks to the on-board 3,000 mAh battery. However, the most unique feature is the volume and the single multi-access button at the back. There are no other hard press buttons on this phone. Also, for a limited time, the phone will carry a flip window cover in the box.
The G2 is the cheapest offering at the moment when it comes to a flagship model from any premium mobile manufacturer in India. Probably some of the competition will now take a hint and won’t price their premium models in a way that will burn a hole in the consumer’s pocket.
