NBCUniversal announced on Tuesday that its upcoming streaming platform and Netflix competitor, called Peacock, will launch in April 2020 with both ad-free and ad-supported plans. And not only will the service include "The Office," but there could be a reboot of the hit sitcom in the future.
"It is my hope and goal that we do an 'Office' reboot," NBCU direct-to-consumer and digital enterprises chairman Bonnie Hammer told Deadline.

NBCU will pull "The Office" off Netflix at the end of 2020, at which point Peacock will become the show's exclusive home. "The Office" has gained a large and loyal following on Netflix since it ended its nine-season run in 2013. It was the streaming giant's most popular show last year, according to data from analytics company Jumpshot.
"'The Office' comes back to us in January 2021," Hammer added. "It is my hope that we can figure what that great reboot would be. We are having conversations."
There has been fierce competition among streaming services for rights to popular old sitcoms.
Another NBC sitcom, "Parks and Recreation," will move from Netflix to Peacock next October. Netflix will also lose "Friends" to HBO Max, but gain "Seinfeld," which is currently on Hulu. HBO Max announced Tuesday that it had secured the rights to "The Big Bang Theory."
