Michael Olowokandi was taken 1st overall by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Olowokandi never lived up to expectations as a No. 1 pick. He has stayed off the radar since retiring in 2007 and earning $38 million.

Mike Bibby was taken 2nd by the Vancouver Grizzlies.
Bibby had a very successful career, retiring after 14 seasons in 2012. Today, he coaches his son at Shadow Mountain High School in Arizona.

Raef LaFrentz was taken 3rd by the Denver Nuggets.
LaFrentz earned over $84 million in his 10-year career. He now owns a farm in a small Iowa town.

Antawn Jamison was taken 4th by the Toronto Raptors.
Jamison was a two-time All-Star and retired in 2014 after playing for six different teams. Today Jamison is a TV analyst for the Lakers.

Carter is currently with the Memphis Grizzlies. He has been an All-Star eight times during his 17-year career.
Robert Traylor, the 6th pick in the draft, died of a heart attack in 2011 after seven NBA seasons. He was 34.

Williams retired in 2011. He played overseas in 2014, and video recently surfaced of him playing at a rec league.

Hughes played for eight teams over 13 years. He has a production company and a foundation that helps families with organ and tissue donors.

Nowitzki was traded to the Mavericks on draft night. He has played 17 seasons and is the Mavs' all-time leading scorer.
Paul Pierce was taken 10th by the Boston Celtics.
Pierce has played 17 seasons, now with the Washington Wizards. He's 16th all-time in scoring in the NBA.
Bonzi Wells was taken 11th by the Detroit Pistons.
Wells played 10 seasons in the NBA. He got a degree in general studies in 2014 and wants to pursue a coaching career.

Doleac is now a science teacher and strength and conditioning trainee for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. He also competes in CrossFit challenges.
Keon Clark was taken 13th by the Orlando Magic.
Clark played six years in the NBA. In 2013 he was sentenced to eight years in jail after pleading guilty to DUI and gun possession charges.

Rasho Nesterovic was taken 17th by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Nesterovic played 11 seasons in the NBA. In 2014, he was named secretary general of the Slovenian Basketball Association.

Turkcan only played 17 games in the NBA, but went on to have a legendary career in Turkey. He retired in 2012 as the Euroleague's all-time leading rebounder.
