Multiple casualties reported after huge explosion rocks Turkish capital of Ankara
Defense1 min read

At least 5 people were killed and 10 wounded after a car bomb exploded outside a military residence in Turkey's capital of Ankara on Wednesday, Ankara's Governor said in an official statement, according to CNNTurk.

The explosion apparently occurred close to several government buildings and Turkey's parliament.

Turkey's ruling AKP party has called the explosion "an act of terror."

The government has now imposed a broadcast ban on the blast.

The bombing comes four months after an ISIS-linked suicide bomber killed more than 100 people and wounded dozens more at a peace rally in Ankara.
