A breakfast at Tiffany’s in India could soon come true, with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail bringing the iconic American brand Tiffany & co to India.

An ET report cited sources to say that Reliance has signed a deal with Tiffany & co. to bring the jewellery brand to Mumbai. The brand could be housed in the luxury mall Ambani is planning to open next year in the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

The brand known worldwide for its diamond rings and was also iconized by legendary actress in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

With a legendary list of Hollywood celebrities and royalty opting for the brand at several occasions, India’s elite too have been making their buys from the brand during the trips abroad. Reportedly, Nick Jonas too had shut down a Tiffany store in London to shop for his now wife actress and global star Priyanka Chopra.

However, this is not the first time that the 182-year old brand is planning to make its entry into the Indian retail market. Years ago, the brand had opened a store in Oberoi Hotel but shut down after it didn’t meet with any success. Later there were also reports about Dubai-based Tarz Lifestyle bringing the brand to India.
