The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is going to conduct a written exam this August, in which several Mphils, postgraduates and graduates are going to appear. However, the job is not that of a researcher, teacher, manager or councilor, but that of a porter.

Yes, you read it right. The employment crisis in Maharastra has reached to this level that highly qualified professionals are willing to get a Grade D job, the minimum qualification for which is Class IV pass.

Out of the 2500 applicants for the job, only 177 have got education lesser than the SSC level, but as they say, something is better than nothing. However, is it really better for an MPhil to lift goods when he could be contributing in the economic growth as per his qualifications and capabilities?
