Well, most of us could not believe what we were hearing when
Motorola decided to exit the country.
No doubt the company was not doing well here and in most parts of the world, when they decided to move away. However, now in a recent development Motorola has decided to step back in to the country. After the recent launch of Moto G (a budget phone from the
Google owned company), Motorola revealed plans to bring it to markets such as India and
Brazil.
Priced at 179$ this phone is much cheaper than its competition – the
iPhone 5C. Moto G will be launched in India in Jan 2014 and should be the first in a series of phones to come. With the launch they will again try to make a market for themselves in India. Moto G has a 4.5-inch 720p
touch display, a
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and will be available with 8 or 16GB internal memory.
Earlier, Moto RAZR was one of the best selling handsets of all times from Motorola in India. The company will again try to gain
market share that it once held here. However, the road to success is going to be hard in India, which is currently lead by companies such as
Samsung, Micromax and
Nokia. Motorola did bring some good phones back then and we are excited to see what they will bring next (after the Moto G). Here’s to new beginnings.
