More than 100 fraternities and sororities were punished last semester - here was the most common offense

At least 133 fraternity and sorority chapters at 55 colleges were suspended or otherwise punished during the spring 2015 semester, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

Greek organizations were punished for a wide range of alleged misconduct, from hazing to sexual assault to student death, Bloomberg reporters Akane Otani and Jeremy Scott Diamond found. The most common infraction was hazing, with 29 reports.

Bloomberg has a graphic that also allows searching by Greek organization. For example, Sigma Alpha Epsilon - a controversial fraternity on many campuses - was punished at six different schools over the spring semester, including a high-profile case at the University of Oklahoma involving a racist chant.

It's worth noting that not all of these punishments were for actions that took place this past semester. Baruch College's school-wide ban of Greek rushing and pledging, for instance, was in response to a student death in December 2013.
