After 33 days of exhaustive searching the Indian Cost Guard has recovered the flight data recorder of the missing Dornier aircraft CG 791 from the Bay of Bengal.

The recorder was recovered from a record depth of 950 meters, a milestone in Indian maritime history. It could contain potential details about what actually happened to the aircraft.

The debris was picked up by the deep sea rescue vessel Olympic Canyon that had been loaned by Reliance from its KG Basin facility.
The crash has however left everyone dumbfounded. There is little to comprehend how a perfectly fine aircraft suddenly disappeared and crashed.
