At its event, Microsoft showed off another demo of its holographic headset called the HoloLens. It also announced that the developer version of the headset will be launching in the first quarter of 2016 for $3,000.

In a new demo, we're seeing how you'd be able to turn your home into one giant video game level.

During the demo, a player interacted with holograms in a video game by pointing and shooting at them with a controller. Microsoft calls this "mixed reality" gaming since you can interact with the environment.

This specific demo was called Project X-Ray.

It looks really futuristic, almost like virtual reality. We still don't know when the consumer version will be launching, however.
