Michael Phelps is the newest member of the Ping family as he has
signed an endorsement deal with the golf equipment company. It is just the latest move that suggests the 18-time gold medalist is aiming for a second career on the PGA Tour.
Phelps' first career move after retiring from competitive swimming was to sign on for the Golf Channel's reality show, "The Haney Project."
Of course, Phelps isn't the first non-golfer to sign an endorsement deal with a golf equipment company. Justin Timberlake recently signed a deal with Callaway Golf. But Phelps is just 27 and needs to something to soothe his competitive fire. And taking a shot as a pro golfer appears to at least be in the back of his mind.
